The department of TahaffuziwaSamaji Tib, Faculty of Unani Medicine organized a workshop on the occasion of World Health Day; 7^th April, 2023. It was the first pre conference workshop of the forthcoming World Congress on Integrated community Health (WCICH-2024) scheduled to be held on 09-10-11 February, 2024. The workshop was organized in association with Indian Integrated Community Health Association (IICHA) and Simnan Imperial Guild (SIG).

The programme was initiated with the recitation of versus from holy Quran in the Museum Hall of the department of TahaffuziwaSamaji Tib. Prof. SM Safdar Ashraf, Chairman of the department welcomed the guests, invited speakers and delegates. He briefed about the theme of this year’s world health day that WHO is celebrating its 75^th Anniversary and revisiting its world famous campaign HEALTH FOR ALL. Being Nodal Officer and Media Advisor to WHO he shared various major breakthrough activities and tasks accomplished by WHO since its inception i.e. 1948. He also informed the audience about various recent developments taking place at WHO headquarter at Geneva.

The senior most Professor of the Faculty of Unani Medicine Prof. MM Wamiq Amin graced the occasion as a Guest of Honour. He pondered over the life style modifications in accordance with teachings of Unani system of medicine.

Prof. BD Khan, Principal Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College shared his valuable inputs in regard to the collaborative possible role of Unani physicians and drug manufacturing units in holistic health care through Unani Medicine and exposed his support for forthcoming department activities.

Two invited lectures delivered on this occasion. The first lecture was delivered by Dr. Abdul Aziz Khan on the topic, “Health for All through Primary health care & Scope for Unani System of Medicine.” He proposed various modules in the light of teachings of Unani Medicine to achieve the target of Health for All.

Dr. Mohammad Salman Shah, Department of Community Medicine, JNMC delivered the second invited lecture on the topic, “Leveraging health for all through Universal Health Coverage (UHC).” He made a very comprehensive attempt to highlight the benefits and success in health care through various schemes under Universal Health Coverage. He shared many success stories in this regard.

During the programme a short video documentary prepared by WHO was also played.

The official website and first information brochure of World Congress on Integrated community Health (WCICH-2024) was launched by the Chairman and Dr Ammar Ibne Anwar.

Dr. Atiya Anjum conducted the programme. Ayesha Parween, Lovely Sing, Anam Athar and Mohd Junaid worked day and night to make this program a grand success. The non teaching staff and supporting staff of the department were also present. The programme was followed by Aftaar.
