WORLD HEALTH DAY 2022
An open AMU MEDICAL STUDENTS’ POSTER COMPETITION for UG, PG & Interns of the Faculty of Medicine & Unani Medicine was organized on the occasion of W O R L D H E A L T H D A Y – 2 0 2 2 (7TH APRIL) on the THEME: OUR PLANET, OUR HEALTH &Sub theme: Fasting (Roza) and Feasting (Iftar) for Healthy Planet Organized by Indian Integrated Community Health Association (IICHA) & faculty of Unani Medicine, AMU, Aligarh and Sponsored by Simnan Imperial Guild (SIg), Aligarh.
On this occasion Chief Guest of the function Honourable Mayor of Aligarh Mr. Mohammad Furqan emphasised the need of healthy atmosphere in the society for healthy planet. The programme was presided over by Padmshri Hm. Syed Zillurrehmansb, Treasurer, AMU , Aligarh who in his address congratulate all on this world health day and appreciates the steps taken by the IICHA, Sig & by the Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine on this occasion. The Gen. Secretary of IICHA &SIG Prof. S.M.Safdar Ashraf of the faculty of Unani Medicine presented welcome address and report more than fifty the activities carried out by the societies in association with the faculty of Unani Medicine. He emphasised the importance of fasting and feasting for a healthy person. Dr. Narendra Kumar, Regional Ayurved& Unani Officer, Aligarh also grace the occasion as the guest of honour. Prof. F. S. Sherani, dynamic Dean, faculty of Unani medicine fully supported the programme on this occasion.
The programme was initiated with the recitation of holy Quran. Poster competition was held on this occasion among the students. The cash prize, mementoes & certificate of the winners of “All India Sir Syed Essay (Urdu/Hindi) competition were distributed by the dignitaries for which 1st prize goes to Ms. Hira Fatima & Ms. Sadaf Firdaus of Aligarh while 3rd prize goes to Ms. Hafsa Mirza & regional prize to Faimy Anjum of Bhopal.
On this occasion Principal of AK Tibbya college, Prof. Shagufta Aleem, Principal College of Nursing, Prof Farha Azmi, Ex Dean, F/O Unani medicine, Hm. Naeem Ahmad Khan, Ex Chairman, Community medicine,
Prof. M. Athar Ansari, Prof. Ziaurrehman of the D/O Pharrmacology of JNMC were present. Prof. Mohd. Anwar, Prof Ashhar Qadeer, Prof. Ferasat Ali, Prof. Ruby Anjum, Dr. Abdur Rauf, Dr. Ammar Ibn Anwar & Dr. Moghis Ansari also grace the occasion. Prof A. Nadeem khan, Principal Aligarh Unani College & Dr. Naeem were also present. Dr. Abdul Aziz Khan & Dr. Hina Fatima Moinee of the fine Arts judged the poster completion. Mr. Wajahat Khan, Ms Karima Anees & Mr. Fahad, students of BUMS assisted in organizing this programme a success. The President of Simnan imperial Guild Mr. S. Qamaruddin Ashraf was also present as a patron. The programme was followed by Iftar & Dinner at City Chef Restaurant, Aligarh.
